These Guidelines seek to measure dimensions of labour force performance and job quality that are not well captured in the Decent Work framework. More specifically, the Guidelines propose Decent Work indicators that focus on youth (ages 15–24 years) within developing countries where the majority of households depend on agriculture for their well-being and a large share of the population lives in poverty,
Sustainability & Productivity
The present document presents two case-studies, to illustrate the process of compilation of productivity indicators: i) the calculation of labour productivity based on data collected at farm-level, that is based on a pilot survey in Zambia, and ii) the construction of aggregate and country-level information on agricultural productivity from aggregate time-series.
This technical report presents different dimensions of employment and underemployment within agricultural households in three communities in Kenya.
These Guidelines are intended to assist countries in improving their measurement and monitoring of agricultural productivity through the provision of recommendations that are applicable to the entire data cycle, from the collection of basic data to the compilation of final indicators.
This Literature Review shows that agricultural sustainability has been understood largely in its environmental dimensions, that it is affected by socio-economic and biophysical conditions, and that obstacles to sustainable agriculture are different in different countries.
This Technical Report seeks to define the different concepts and present the main measurement methods for agricultural productivity and efficiency.
